Custom-designed hobo style handbag for a free spirit.
Comprised of over 10 disparate, salvaged pieces (even antique typewriter keys for the zipper pull tab), this design employs vintage, reclaimed and roll-end textiles making it both fun and functional. Inside features three interior pockets including one extra large pocket with elastic trim to assist in containment and the exterior features a large front pouch for easy access items. Pockets are lined with a cheerful yellow and pink print, while the interior lining is a smooth cotton chintz roll-end. Additionally, this bag is stabilized with former curtain lining and as such will be a long-wearing and useful everyday accessory.
This piece was commissioned by a dear friend who offered little direction in terms of her requisites which truly inspired me to push the boundaries of my creative abilities. Imagine the piece I could create for you or someone you love.
